Mrs. Wm. Horsfall Who attended the Ninth Hlennlrtl Conven tion of the National Federation of Musical Clubs gave a comprehensive and Interesting tulk about the many tilings which she enjoyed. One of the very interesting topics was the Opera "Fulryland" This opera tho $10,000 prise was composed by an American composer, Iloratln Park er to bo produced for the first time at the Convention. The National Federation is doing a groat and uom mendabte work in bringing to tlio front our American composers Riid performers, and It is to be hoped that real merit will soon be recognised in our land without the endorsement 'of Europe.
