Though physic ally feeble, his mind was active and he mado many friends. Yesterday he failed to get up and several tim es during the dny Mrs. Mercer wont luto the room anl talked with him. He was not ill nnd said that he did not want anything. At seven Inst evening Mrs. Mcrror found hi in resting easy and n few minutes later the old captain hud passed away.
