Editor Coos nay Times: We find by Investigation the re port of the Insurance commissioner that he has Included In his report of the cost of tho Assessor's office of Coos County Oregon for the Year 101 1, the cost or tho cruising 'he timber for that year. r Tho Cruising of the timber was contracted by the County Court with Mr. Dennis McCarthy and wob en tirely under the Court's control and not nn Item of expense of the Asses sor's Office. For the year 1914 $4,959.82 was paid for cruising timber which amount should be deducted from the amount tho commissioners report to ascertain tho correct cost of tho above mentioned office.
