Hlckox, who has Just return ed from nn auto trip to San Fran cisco, had a rather' amusing exper ience with the traffic policeman and Charley's "Innocent Golden Smilo" probably saved him from a fine for violating the crossing regulations, Chnrie'wns trying to negotiate ! After waiting for n chance to got through without a collision, Charley saw a fine opening. The traffic po liceman had stopped the vehicles to allow the rigs In the other street to get through. Immediately Charley shot his car across tho opening be fore the traffic which was supposed to bo crossing tho other way had a good start. The policeman blew his whistle, but Hlckox kept on go ing and In a row minutes the blue coated officer caught up and Jumped on the running board. "Don't you know the trnfflc reg ulations?"
