An effort Is now being mado to secure from tho 'iWar Department tho J3.000 which was duo but which wns not received lost year for this work. It Is believed that Engineer Pol hemus will make n survey of tho South Coos River this week nnd every effort Is being mado to hurry tho work of tho Oregon on tho oth er branch. nnd It Is said that these places will ' be given regular weekly service dur- j lug the summer months, starting In at Port Orford as soon ns tho new dock Is completed.
