Tho flro chief reported that there wore forty-two active members In tho department, thnt twelve regular meetings had been held during tho year, sixteen regular flro drills and two special drills. There woro twenty-six flro alarms during tho year, tlio actual loss beyond Insurance be ing small, Recommendations for tho appointment of nn Inspector to look over nil buildings, and tho passing of an ordinance making it compulsory to have nil places cleaned out so as to minimize the dnugcr of fire, were placed on file.
