V.ASTKItX STAR. SHERM GAMBLE Mrs. John Benson of Temple ton Succumbs to Apoplexy i Sunday. Tho sudden death of one of the oldest residents of Coos County oc curred yesterday evening when Mrs. .Tohn Benson of Templeton passed i away. Tho deceased was 05 years j old, a native of Sweden, coming to Coos County and settling In 187-1. Yesterday while visiting bed daugh ter, Mrs. John Peterson, the do-1 ceased complained of a slight pain. In her head. On her way home sue fell unconscious at the home of Xels Peterson. Mr. Peterson enred for her, but she rapidly declined and passed away nt 0:110 p. m., without regaining consciousness. Coroner Wilson was sent to the ( scene and tho cause of the death' was pronounced as apoplexy. The funeral will take place tomorrow from her late residence. Interment In Templetoii cemetery.
