The EtiruKn Herald prints the fol lowing San Francisco dispatch: "Tho Utah Construction Company wna awarded a contract to build sev en miles of railroad for tho North western Pacific Company, beginning at a point 30 miles north of Wllllts. "Moat of this work will be com pleted by early spring and will mark tho completion of the railroad almost to tho south portal of tho Island Mountain tunnel. "Additional contracts for tho com pletion of the railroad will bo award ed early this coming spring. "Tho promise- mado some weeks ago thnt tho railroad will be com pleted nnd ready for travel by tho fall of 1913, IS months hence, Is no longer a prophecy; It is a down right fact, for tho Utah Construction Com pany will bind itself in the new con tract to finish the work In that time. "Wore it not for the Island Moun tain tunnel, over 1000 feet long, nt the Intersection of the Humboldt, Trinity and Men0ocjno Counties, tho railroad would bo? completed next Btimmor. By the first of next May, railroad engineers state, trains will bo run ning south from Eureka to Fort Soward and north from San Fran Bar Association in Marsh field Tomorrow.
