Mr. Albrecht Insisted that an engineer should bo nppolntol to see If tho work corresponded with tho plans and specifications, and said that tho council had requested Mayor Straw a long time ago to appoint an engineer. F. Me Knight who repieseuted the saloon men who desired the limitation said that the proposed amendment was the only thing that would enable the council to prevent additional sa loons coming In and starting. Coun cil men Albrecht and Copple favored It. saying that the saloon men were entitled to some protection and also that they favored limiting them.
