In ordor to do things, ho said that political proferment or wealth was essential to gain tho pow or to do things. Ho said that ho did not huvo tho desire or ability to tiu cumulate great wealth and so ho went into tho gnmo of politics. One of tho hobbles ho had long cherished wns to do something for humanity and especially tho man down and out tho convict. Ho said It had been more than successful and declar ed that although tho state has been working 450 convicts the past year without guards, only three hnvo es caped.
