Councllmnu Albrecht last night brought up tho street repair ques tion again and Bald that ho didn't think It was fair to collect from some for repairing the street In front of their property and not from all. He said that the city at large had been paying for some of tho street re pairs or changes and denounced it ns unequitable. He tried to plnco tho blame for this to tho street com mittee, of which Councilman Powers Is chairman. Mr. Powers Immedi ately retorted that ho or tho street commtttco was not responsible but that tho entire council had voted to Jiavo tho work dono nt'the city's ex pense. Then Mr. Albrecht wanted . to know who had given Street Com missioner Lawhornc authority to col lect for tho repairs and said that Tho Times had been In error In stat ing that Mr. Lawhorno was Instructed to collect from nil of them.
