Tho now rector has Just recently arrived and the dato of tho reception has not yet been decided upon and will be ar ranged. Warnor, for merly Miss Nanu Smith, who with her husband is visiting In the city, will be tho guest, of honor when Mrs. Illnke entertains the club. Tho members of the Ladles' Art Club held a meeting Friday afternoon nt the homo of Mrs. Xels Hasmussen. This is tho second meeting of the year. Tho club membors will meet through tho year and on these occa sions do sewliig and fnncy work. One of the most olnborato social ovonts of tho season In Marshfield was tho brldgo party glvon last Sat urday afternoon by Mrs. Frank K. Hague at her home, 1G1 Cedar streot. Mrs. Hague was assisted by Mrs. K. K. Jones, Mrs. T. S. Mlnot, Mrs. W. T. Merchant and Miss Anna Hussoll, a sister of tho hostess. During the afternoon tho ladles played brldgo and nftor tho gamo an olnborato sup por was sorved. Tho first prize was won by Mrs. G. W. Kaufman and tho second prize by Mrs. K. G. Porham. The color schomo of tho decorations in tho house was rod and green, rod carnations and mnldon's hair fern bolng used. All of tho details of tho entortalnmont wore carried out on a handsomo scnlo.
