Word has been received here that the Captain of the United States Re venue Cutter Rush, now doing ser vice In North Pacific waters, has been ordered to Coos Bay to make a de tailed investigation of the action of the Coos Day Life Saving crew at the time of the Czarina disaster. He is expected to reach here on the Ramo nii next Friday morning. According to unofficial information recohed here, all of the evidence se cured by Captain Emory, inspector of the lifo saving service In this dis trict, has been turned over to tho now Investigator and he is to look into It further and gather such addi tional evidence ns is procurable. It Is expected that an effort will be made to have the hearing made an open one so that all of the evidence that has been talked over and the questions raised may be thoroughly probed. It Is expected that he Port of Coos Day which asked for a thor ough Investigation will cooperate the Investigation and have their at torney, C. It. Peck, present at the hearing and also introduce additional testimony of people who witnessed the disaster and the actions of the life saving crew. According to the rules and regula tions of the life saving service, copies of which have recently been secured here, the keeper of a station Is re quired to actually attempt to launch tho lifo saving boat and is not per mitted to let his judgment determine whether or not It can be done.
