EUGENE O'CONNELL and family and Mrs. Richardson broke camp at The Maze today and returned to Klttyville. OTTO SCHETTER returned this morning from a short visit with his family who are camping at Cutlip's Grove. W. J. MUNDY, S. Peterson, D. Mc Clelland and W. E. Best were pas sengers on the stage this morning for Roseburg. NICK STAMBONE, who has been with the Blanco barber shop for several months has moved to the 0, K, Barber shop. THAYER GRIMES and Otho L. Hop son are expected home tomorrow or next day from Ten Mile where they have been enjoying a few days' hunt. DAN LYONS, who has been a resi dent of Marshileld for a couple of years, will leave Sunday on the Breakwater for the east where he expects to locate. , CHAS. HICKOJ: and Edgar Mauzey returned this morning from Ten Mile- where they have been hunt ing. They got some game after Charley's bad tooth quit aching. MRS. BUSSE, Miss Busse and Miss Ryan of Chicago, who have been visiting at the W. R. Haines home, will leave Sunday for the east. Mrs. Haines will accompany them for a short visit there. F. P. NORTON and wife will leave on the Breakwater for Portland and Seattle after which they will return to the Willamette Valley to take In the races in which Mr. Norton's horses are entered. GEORGE HERRON has returned from the Tioga country Where he hns been enjoying a few days hunting and outing with Mr. Kardell and Jns. Cowan. Harris says that the Simpson dredgo has cleared one plncod near Sumner ovor 90 feet wide so that tho large excursions boats plying of tho bay can now run up there with picnic parties and turn around. STRIKING WORKMEN AT Mo KEE'S ROCKS, Pa., CAUSE SE RIOUS TROUBLE. (By Associated Press.) PITTSBURG, Pa., Aug. 19. Mounted and using their hickory riot sticks, members of the Pennsylvania constabulary were today keeping the strikers on the move in the Pressed Steel Car Works strike at McKee's Rocks. It is estimated that . 500 shots were fired last night and early today by the strikers and their sym pathizers. The mob had gathered near O'Donovan bridge, near the works. The constabulary today took possession of the bridge and the efforts of the strikers to congregate were defeated. - HARGE IS LOST. Five Members of Crew May Be Lost. (By Associated Press.) SAUNDERSTOWN, R. I., Aug. 19. The barge Shawmut, with a crew of five men, from Philadelphia to New Port, broke away from a tug off Long Island in a gale Tuesday and it is feared that she went to the bottom with all hands. Preparations were completed to day for a big motor boat parade to be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock. It will take place in the Bay opposite Marshfield and will be ) from the Market avenue dock to the Libby Coal bunkers and back. While It will be under the auspices of the Coos Bay Motor Boat Club, all crafts on the Bay will be eligible to enter. This afternoon the judges for the event will be selected. The awards will be made for the best decorated and best navigated crafts. It Is ex pected that there will be a large number of entries, no charge being made for entering. Three handsome prizes have been offered for the event. For the first prize, the Coos Bay Oil and Supply Company has offered a pair regula tion sidelights and a large flag.
