move them from all the small river
craft and the large log rafts which at
times become a menace tn shina nn.
chored, as such craft and rafts will
not be permitted to travel near the
anchorage basin, but take the chan

It Is also proposed to cut a channel
along the entire west shore of Swan

draw of the North Bank bridge
across the Willamette. This will not
only shorten the distance for vessels
coming to Portland, but it will also
eliminate the dangers w.hich lurk in
the narrow, swift and crooked chan

will give all boats a straight cnurnn
in which to pass through the draw of
the bridge.
