Himio Loses Horse. One of R. D. Hume's thoroughbred two-year old fillies, lately shipped up from San Francisco to be trained for the Marchmont races, died of colic last week at his Wedderburn farm. Port Orford News. Medical Association Meets. The Coos County Medical Society will meet In Dr. E. Mingus' office in Marshfleld at 8 o'clock tills evening. Ofilcers will be elected for the ensu ing year and the remainder of the session devoted to an informal dis cussion of general topics of interest to the profession. Honor Dr. E. Mingus. Dr. E. Mingus has been appointed advisory committeeman for the Marshfleld district by the American Health Loague, a committee of about one hundred leading medical and philan thropic workers of the country. The object of the league is to secure the establishment of a national health bureau which will educate people and enable them to better care for their health. Also to gather data on contagious diseases, etc. Patronizo Good Literature. W.
