It. Thurston, territory, which was at the disposal of the society. It was road and adopted. Mr. Jeffreys then offered a resolution which was in substance the following: "That temperance men, in voting to strike out the word 'regulate' from the Organic Law, and insert ' prohibit.' in its stead, do not mean to exclude the use of liquors containing al cohol for sacramental, medical, or mechanical purpo ses."
