One of the state tickets of the two great political parties in Oregon has been formed. Tne republicans are now ready for the work of the coming campaign; they have prepared a ticket and are in waiting on their opponents the democrats to do' the same. It will be only a waste of time for the democracy to go through the formality of forming one also their defeat is a fore-gone conclusion. The- nominees on the republican ticket are t-jo well known and too well experienced in the affairs of state to not be in the major ity on the close of the polls all over the state on the evening of election day. Their names appear elsewhere in the Gazette. One is from Doug las county, two from Multnomah, one from Benton, one from Columbia, one from Grant,, and one from Lane. The prosecuting attorney of the district, S. W. Condon, of Eugene, is from Lane also. Three of them are now hold ing the position to which they have been re-nominated, and will be re elected.. The candidate for-supreme judge is R. S. Bean, the present cir cuit judge of this district, and who is now engaged in this city in holding court for the spring term of this county. He is a young man of excellent quali ties, an able and learned jurist, and will do honor to this high office. Rest assured, reader, that the republican banner this year will have "Victory" inscribed upon it. L. L. McArthur and E. C. Bro nou'gh, of Portlaud, were in Corvallis' last Friday. Pel-Imp's they were look ing after the democratic portion, of Corvallis. " 1 MONEY 1 LO $100,000 to loan on Real Estate se curity. At ' - HARTLESS & DAVOTST PHYSICIANS- Xi. R. FARRA, M. Volcanic eruptions, cyclones, earthquakes are awfully and tremenilonsly picturesque, but scarcely desirable to emu late in aution and effect by the administra tion of remedies which produce convulsion and agony in the abnormal portion of the human fr.ime. Such is toe euect ol.tlie old fashioned violent purgatives happily falling more and more into disuse, and of which Hostetter's Stomach Bitters is the whole some, pleasant and far more effective succe ditnenm. They weakeued the intestines the Bitters invigorates them. They left the bowels inactive, because incapacitated by ensuing feebleness. " The Bitters, - on the contrary, and because it enables, npt forces, them to act a vast and fortunate difference perpetuates their activity and regularity. The liver is beneficially stimulated, as the kidneys also are, by this medicine, which easily conquers, also, malaria, nervousness and rheumatism. HK DECLINES. To the Citizens of Corvallis: .
