T ornado .— The Pendleton Tribune says “ a tornado swept over Pendleton on the 19tb inst, commencing at about 6 0.clock, P. M. and continu ing a half or three-quarters of an hour. The wiud raged with terrible fury, and rain came down in torrents. Large trees were swept down, but no houses are reported as injured, with the exception of the building iu which the Tribune is printed. The wind was from a south-westerly direction, aud consequently, had good play on this building. The amount of damage sustained by the building was the moving of it a few inches off the foundation, together with a few lights being broken out, and leaving the house in a^leaning position. At the time of the crash the writer hereof, with Mrs. M. H. Abbott and family, were inside. But we shortly found ourselves “ wending our way” toward the resi dence of Mr. Lennox where we took refuge until the storm had ceased.
