Residents of Fulton and other South Portland dis tricts are congratulating themselves on the fact that free mail delivery from the main office will prevail on all the routes of that locality after July li the Fulton Postoffice having been abolished. In or der to meet the requirements of the sit uation, instructions have been sent out requesting the residents to place street numbers on their houses, and m most in stances this regulation has been complied with, although some cases of neglect have been reported, and Postmaster Mlnto Is very anxious that all should do so before the new order becomes operative. Ci.obi.no Meeting. The closing meeting of the Sunnyslde Circle of the Home Training Association was held in the as sembly hall of the Sunnyslde School, and was well attended. Mrs. 13. A. McPher son presided. Judge A. L. Fraser gaze an Instructive address, and Principal K. D. Curtis also spoke, referring specially to the graduating class of the school, which contains 22 pupils. The piano solo by Mrs. G. Evert McClure, late of San Francisco, was favorably commented on. J. II. Parrlsh gave a well-rendered vocal hoIo. The circle adjourned to hold its Hrst Fall meeting in the early part of September. Arleta Graduates. The Arleta School graduated the following from the gram mar grade: Bessie Douglass. Floyd Fess ler. Harry Spencer, Milton Janes, Daisy Kradshaw, Ksther Nordberg, George Bradshaw. Exercises were held Thurs day evening In Arleta Hall. County School Superintendent R. F. Robinson presented the diplomas with appropriate remarks. These graduates will have the privileges of the Portland High School. The Savot Restaurant, under the able management of our old citizen. Max Smith, has certainly made a success, after opening its doors to the public yesterday morning: at noon the merchants' lunch served was delicious, and standing-room was at a premium, which was remarkable i-onsidering the short notice the public had received in regard to the opening. Retuhns Relief Money. W. Mox on. of the SL Johns relief committee, which raised money for San Francisco, hHs mailed checks for 56 per cent of the money paid in back to the subscribers. The money was not needed, and this was considered the best way to -dispose of It, as there was no authority to use it for any. other purpose., ' Rededication of Church. mc rededi callon of the Montavilla Methodist Epis copal Church, on Hibbard street, will take place this morning at 11 o'clock. The church has been rebuilt and enlarged. Rev. J. P. Farmer is the pastor. Several Portland Methodist ministers are expect ed to assist in the services. . Funeral, or William Edris. The fu neral of William Edris took place yester day, under the auspices of Willamette Lodge. No. 2. A. F. & A. M. The funeral was held at the home of W. G. Espey. 434 Marguerite avenue.
