THE 31QRMXG OKEGOXIAX, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19, 19i 17, 7 HUNTERS ARE ARRESTED VIOLATORS OF IiIMIT OX WILD DUCKS ARE CHARGED. Three Sportsmen Are Taken Into Custody, Accused of Being Without Licenses. Seven hunters were arrested Sun day and charged with having more than the limit of wild ducks in their possession. E. H. Clark, same ward en, and a force of deputies made the arrests. Three hunters arrested at Burling had 12S ducks in their pos session, according to Warden Clark, while the legal limit for each person is 25 ducks in one day. In addition two hunters and one fisherman were arrested for failing to have licenses. J. C. Bradley, H. Metzger, John Laue, and J. T. Walters, all of Port land, pleaded guilty in justice court yesterday. They were fined $25 each and costs. Theodore Anderson, 1231 Hawthorne avenue, Thomas Meyers, Claypoole apartments, and A. J. Rose, 414 Alder street, are to appear for trial in justice court this morning. J. B. Jones of Salem, and Edward Bird of Portland will appear in justice court today to answer charges of hunting without a license while Au gust Koeblen, Portland, is charged with angling without a license.
