"I'nverslty ot Washington ex-Football Star Killed in Argonne. Ceremony Slated. SEATTLE, Wash., June 13. (Spe cial.) A distinguished service cross, posthumously awarded to Lieutenant .Elmer J. Noble of Seattle.ex-Univer-fcity of Washington football star who was killed in the Argonne, will be presented to his widow, Mrs. Doris Noble. 1807 Kast Republican street, at a special open meeting of Elmer J. Noble post No. 1. American Legion, tomorrow night in tlie veterans' hall at the armory. Western avenue and Virginia street. The decoration will be presented by Colonel Otho B. Farr, assisted by Captain Linus G. Kirkhoff. C. H. Paul, who served during the war as a captaini n the same regiment with Lieutenant Noble, will read the eulogy. Klmer J. Noble was a first lieuten ant of company L, 364th infantry, 91st division. He was one of the first men from the state of Washington to be killed in action.
