Speculative in terests In the stock market today was vlS' Ibly stimulated by the publication of the official details of the coining victory loan, the smaller volume of that project and the attractive interest rale meeting with gen eral approval, There were Instances of hesitancy, due mainly to realizing for profits, prompted by uncertainty respecting the trend of the peace con i ere nee, but the rise was fully sustained, moderate reactions being offset by additional gains in the several groups of specialties. Rails and coppers were the only conspic uous exceptions, failing to share more than nominally in the sweeping and substantial movements. Heaviness of St. Paul issues acted as a drag on the entire transportation division. Fuily half tho day's trading centered around motors, oils and shippings. United States Steel made an extreme ad vance of IS to VI'1, easing slightly with kindred issues in the further profit taking at the close. Sales amounted to 1,100,060 shares. Li bert y bonds, except 3 s, strengthened at first, but reacted slightly later; other domestics were steady and internationals firm. Total sales, par value, aggregated $17,S75,00o.
