A Little Judgment ' 165,000 was Portland's popu lation in 1(07. Today. 1913,. it la 366,000, " an Increase, of 101,000. - In thes e same six years 16,400 new homes have been built, provid ing homes for' 87,000 people. 12.956 of these homes, costing under $2500, have been built on lots costing under 1700. S444 homes, that cost over $2500, have .been built on lots val ued at over $700. If four months' building record continues, over 8000 homes will be built In Port land In 1913. which means that over 2800 vacant lots, valued under $700. will be taken up. These facts are posl- ' tlve proof that a $650 lot located on the Cen tral East Side Is a very good investment.
