Sears, of this city, who is visiting here for a few days, will leave' in a few days for Keokuk, Iowa, where he will have charge of the construction of one of the largest power plants in the world, having- 300.000 horsepower developed by a dam across the Mississippi River. The plant will cost 314.000,000. Mr. Sears, who for many years was superintendent of the big power plant at Electron, Wash., which furnishes electricity for Seattle, Tacoma and other Puget Sound cities, recently completed a big: plant at Sum ner, Wash, having: 100,000 horsepower and costing 33,000,000. Davis, fo4ir miles south, has constructed a reservoir to hold '60,000 gallons of water, which will be used for Irrigating a portion of his ranch.
