County Auditor Martin has prepared a state ment showing how ttv. expense of op erating the Taiioos departments of county government from 190 to 1111. Inclusive, has Increased. The meeting; eras to have been beld yesterday afternoon, but waa post poned. All offices but that of Sheriff Stevens were represented yesterday. Among the taxpayers were A. I Mills and W. aC Ladd. Lesser Levy Is A lea. The object of the meeting, which will now be held Thursday. Is fourfold, ac cording to the County Commissioners to show the taxpayers the condition of county affairs, to get suggestions on county expenditures, to urge county of ficers to economise and to suggest means of reduolng the present high tax levy. -We want to Inaugurate a system of consulting with the taxpayers." said Judge Cleeton.
