The resolutions also demand the Im mediate dismissal of the adjudication cults brought by the Government to determine the exact Water rights of user of water from the Umatilla River and Its tributary streams. Morris, of Piano, the al leged assassin. FARMERS TO HAVE SCHOOL lecture Courses to Bo Given at Puy allup Experiment Station.' TACOMA. Wash, Dee. 14. (Special.) As a reault of energetic pleaa by the people of Puyallup Valley, backed by the Puyallup Commercial Club, an nouncement has Just been made of a farmers school to be established in connection with the Western Wash ington State Experimental Station, at Puyallup. The school will be what 1 known as short course, and the first session will be held the latter part of January. Lectures on various farm topics will be given by practical and experienced men who have made a suc cess on tnelr own farm. Professor George Severance, of the Western Washington station, will have charge of the school, assisted by some of the faculty from Pullman College and it will be open to all who desire to enter. The course will Include lectures by Professor Ashy, of Pullman College, on hog production, feeding, handling and marketing, and lecturea by Professor A. H. Xystrom. of the lalry department of Pullman College, on dairying. Pro fessor Severance Is also arranging for lectures by F. Walder, of Seattle, on practical horticulture. The domestic science department of the school will be In oharge of Mis Barry, of Pullman College, and will be conducted for the benefit of the farm ers' wives and daughtera. H. L. Illanchard. L. J. Chapln and J. L. Stahl, of the Western Washing ton station, will lecture on grain, grasses, soil, poultry and horticulture as adapted to Western Washington. Senator W. H. Paulhamus is also sched uled for an address. they probably will return to Port land, as the case is not expected to reach the criminal calendar until after the first of the year, when Judge Percy R. Kelly will return to Albany and Judge Henry L. Benson, who ex- changed with him. will resume his seat on the circuit bench here. Macadamized Road Survey Is On. . HUSUM. Wash., Dec. 14. (Special.) The Northwestern Electric Company be gan the survey Tuesday for their ma cadamised road from the dam site on the White Salmon River at the Charles Frick place, four miles below here, to a Junction with the ITnderwood-Hnsum county road, under the direction of En gineer Clegg. The road will be 30 feet wide. A concrete mixer has been shipped to Underwood for use at the power site. The management of the Northwestern company asserts that the road to the S. P. & S. track at Under wood will be built suitable for large auto trucks in hauling, their supplies to the site on the river where their high concrete dam is to be erected. If Parish and Gill comb the town for signatures they may consciously or unconsciously, eliminate one mayoralty candidate In the process. J. Redclshelmer has flirted with the mayoralty, but he has refused to take the campaign seriously unless given the support of business Interest through a petition urging his candi dacy.
