Possession - of the Market block, bounded by Recond and Third and by Market and Clay streets, will go Into tha hands of the city tomorrow, and the ue to which the city will put the property la becoming a serious problem hich the Council and tha Mayor must soon work out. The property Is valued at 1109.000 and ts owned by the city. It waa leased to the People's Market Associa tion, which sub-leaded It to various person. Litigation Involving the lease multea In giving the tenants 0 daya In which to remove their property. Tha 90 days expires today, and ac cording to tha order of tha court, all the property remaining on the land after today will go Into tha handa of the city. There are a few old sharks on tha block, which It in understood will not be moved In time, but It Is expected that the city will give the owners a few days grace. Many suggestions have been made regarding the disposition the city should make of the property, but' no definite action has been taken. One of the more recent suggestions waa . the effect that the city should make tha block tha site of the proposed pub lic auditorium. Guilford, ac cused of having attempted to bribe a juror, a Jury In Judge Kavanaugh. division of the Circuit Court approached the Judge in a body yesterday and asked that he parole Guilford In pass ing sentence. The Jurors gave as an excuse for this request the fact that tha defendant.
