A severe storm Is central this evening over Western Washington. Warnings for this form were issued this morning at 7:30 A. M. and all seaports were notified In ample time to prepare for Its coming. The wires to North Head and Tatoosh Island are down and no reports have been received from those stations. A maximum wind velocity of 26 miles from the south occurred during the afternoon in Portland and a maximum wind velocity of 20 mllea from the aoutheaat oc curred about the same time in Walla Walla. The rain attending this storm has been gen eral In Northern Oregon. Washington and Northern Idaho, but it had not spread to Southern Oregon and Southern Idaho when the last reports were received. The storm Is attended by unusually mild temperatures and a return to normal tem perature may be expected as soon as It passes this district. FORECASTS.
