OG WOULD MERGE ELEVATORS Farmers of Minnesota to Combine for Better Conditions. MINNEAPOLIS, Aug-. . 29. A big merger of farmers' elevators in Min neapolis is to be formed at a meet ing called to take place in Minneap olis September 5, by presidents and managers of the several elevators throughout the state. The plan la to secure the co-operation of 200 farm ers' elevators in the state into one central organization. It is estimated that fully 20.000 farmers will be rep resented at the meeting. The farm ers surrounding the towns where such elevators are operated usually own stock in them, and are thus inter ested in the movement to merge them in order to secure better grading-, bet ter terminal facilities and better means of marketing- their grain. ST. LOUIS, Mo.. Aug. 29. The dead body of a man taken from the river yesterday was identified at the morgue today by Albert R. Haagama as that of his father, B. B. Haagama, Consul in St. Louis for the Nether lands. The son declared that he did not believe that his father had com mitted suicide, but expreseed the be lief that the death was accidental. He explained that his father had been a victim of mental derangement. Consul Haagama- was 76 years of age. He disappeared mysteriously last Monday. He came to St. Louis In 1855 and was later appointed local Consul. Brewers to Fight Local Option. CINCINNATI. Aug. 29.
