The Grant is a single-screw steamer of 450 tons displacement, with iron hull; extreme length Jti3 feet, beam molded 25 feet, draft 10 feet 4 inches; has one single direct-acting en gine, diameter of cylinder 36 inchea, stroke of piston 36 inches; two sheil boilers, steam reversing engine,' surface condenser, cen trifugal circulating pump, steam wind lass, steam fire pump, general serv ice pump, two anchors, two, chain cables and three boats. The vessel can be rigged as a barken tine, being equipped with lower topsail and topgallant yards. The Grant can be seen at Seattle, Washing ton, on application to the person in charge and the vessel will be open for Inspection until the date named.
