Trump will be sworn into office as the 45th president of the United States during his inauguration celebration on January 20th. He will take the oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” The inauguration is the ceremony in which the new or reelected president is inducted into office. This year it will be held at noon on January 20. It takes place outside the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. At the inauguration ceremony, the president takes an oath of office. With right hand raised and left hand on an open Bible, the new president says the following statement: President-elect Trump was born on June 14, 1946.
