Paul Schroeder was placed in the county jail Sunday charged with rape upon the person of his wife's sister, a girl under 16 years of age. Schroed er had an examination in the Justice Court Monday and placed under $500 bonds, which he furnished. The family lived near Stafford and when Schroeder found that the girl was in a delicate condition, he left suddenly but was loated at Condon and was arrested by the sheriff of Gilliam County. Con stable Moody left Saturday morning for Condon and returned Sunday with his man. Walter L. Holcomb, a well known farmer living on Abernethy Creek, is critically ill at his home, and fears are entertained for his recovery. . Needy School Report. Following is the report of Dist.
