A delicious lunch waa served by Mrs. Klinker at 11:30, after which they all departed for home, wishing Chris many more bappy birthdays. Mrs. John Butson went to Portland Monday. Miss Nellie Angus went to Newberg Monday to spend several weeks with friends. Mrs. Cora Hasselhrink and pupi's also Mr. Vedder, were guests at dinner on Monday, at the home of Mr. ana Mrs. Ira Seely. Stanley Murray Is slowly Improving although still very ill, at the hospital In Portland. Elmer Seely, who Is living in Wood burn, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Seely, on Monday. Many flags are now floating In the breezes here, one of the largest being put up recently by D. Rutherford, our patriotic station agent. Mr. and Mrs. John Butson will leave this week for Battle Creek, Michigan, where Mr. Butson will undergo an op eration. Miss Scollard, principal of the local the Judges, who were, W. B. Baker, li. A. Voao and Joseph Eastman. After the debate all enjoyed a talk given by Mr. Vosc, principal of the Oswego school. Tho nnxt meeting will be hold April 28th, when the question, "RO' solved, That Washington Was A Great er Man than Lincoln," will be debated. Supper will be sold during the evening, and the money raised will go towards paying for a piano, which the literary society wl'l purchase In the near future. Ail come.
