This charge was made against Hammond in a complaint sworn out before Justice of the Peace Slevers by Robertson immediately after Dr. Guy Mount had dressed his wound. According to Robertson's allega tions the disputo arose when Ham mond ordered him to get a load of wood which he was delivering out of tho road. "I'll get out just as soon as I can turn this team around," repllid Rob ertson. Hammond got mud and hurled the hatchet, Robertson says. Chief of Police DIancliard and Con stable Jack Frost Immediately went off on the lookout for Hammond but this morning he had not been ar rested. He will be brought before Judge Sievers today.
