An attempt to light a cigar while at the wheel of an automobile was costly for H. M. Rutherford, of Ironsides. Rutherford was on his way from Ironsides to linker, accompanied by Mrs. Rutherford and J. E. Lawrence, ' also of Ironsides. While running on a mountain road he attempted to light his cigar, the steering wheel got away from his control, tho car dashed down the grade and up.'iet, throwing the three occupants out.
