The home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Erickson last Sunday was the scene of two delightful and most enjoyable Hulloween parties. The first one, about 3 o'clock In the afternoon, when two large touring cars stopiied with friends from Portland to welcome Miss Yernlef home again. She has been away for a visit and returned home Saturday eveuing. The after noon was s;cnt ia playing games and several reading by Miss Nellie Hoyt. a graduate of the Glllisple school of expression from Chicago, 111. Mr. Nic hols, a talent violinist, played several well selected pieces on his violin. They both have spent some time In San Francisco at the fair. As well as most of the others in the party and are on their way hack to Chicago, III. Misses Emma and Alice Erickson sang also. A bounteous luncheon was served at 5:30. Covers were laid (or twenty. The happy guests returned to Portland at 7 p. m. At 8 p. m. there was terrible noise and cheering when Misses Emma and Alice was taken by surprise by some of tbe East Clackamas school students each guest carried a jack-o'-lantern all lit up. The evening was spent In playing games, Halloween stunts and music. Candy was served for refrenh ments. The guests departed at a late hour and voted Misses Erickson's most charming hostesses.
