States firmly established in km' slon of n share of the world' trade never be'oi.- sained by American man ufacturers, In the opinion of ir. ('. W. A. Vcditz. commercial attache to the embassy at Paris, who left Sunday for hi post. "European countries now at war have hitherto pnnldcd 412 per cent of the world's total export trade," Dr. Vedlt said before hi departure. "They have sold to oth -r nations f 1 s.r.oo.ooo . rmo worth of goods annually. Much of this trade has been destroyed. Commercially apcikine, Helghim no longer exists and Germany's foreign trade Is but a fraction of what It used to be. France Is busy witn ot.ier things and even England, despite her naval supremacy, has had to reidjust herself commercially to an entirely new and restricted system. President Yilson and his cabinet decided today to Bend American warships to the canal zone to guard against violations of neutrality there by belligerent ships. Doth Secretary Garrison and Secre tary Daniels made it clear today that the delay in acting on the request of Colonel Goethals for two destroyers was due to a lack of information. Mr. Garrison explained that the col onel had sent two messages, one ask ing for the destroyers, without specify inn the niirnnfp of their uses. In re ply to a message of Inquiry on the latter point Colonel Goethala explained that the wireless regulations were be ing violated In canal waters, and re- to the misuse of the canal one 456 of supplies. One lady will make himself so bend, then everybody be will think, he Is tile nib ber lady. This Is the very grand dis play. This is the very better gymnas tics. One man will walk on wire tight, he is doing very nicely because he Is professor of that." PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 11. Under the guidance of Roadtnaster John It Yeon and Amos S.
