S.D0WNED;13T06 LOCALS SECURE REVENGE FOR GAME LOST WEEKS AGO After suffering a 13 to 0 defeat early In the season at the hands ot the Lincoln' hfgh Bchool second team, the Oregon City high school team defeat ed the Portlanders with a 13 to 6 score Saturday afternoon on Canemah fiold. The Lincolnites made their lonely touchdown In the first quarter as the result of a fluke on the part ot the locals. In the last three quarters ot the contest, the winners had the best end of the mWup all the time. In the last half, seven first team men were run in by Lincoln In an effort to stop the victorious Oregon City eleven, but without much effect on the general character of the game. One touchdown of the Clackamas county organization was made by Bob Green and one by Myers. Their work was largely responsible for the victory of the team. Condition of Canemah field, which was thick with mud and water, was in favor of the locals and against the Portlanders who are ac customed to sawdust. The lineup of the Oregon City elev en follows: C, Halllston; G., Romig and Green; T Moody and Milllken; E., Armstrong and King; Q., Meyers; H., Burke and Grsen, and F., Dungey. GAME IS SUCCESS HERE HIGH SCHOOL AND TOWN FOOT BALL TEAMS PLAY WELL As a football town, Oregon City is certainly on the map this year. With a high school team which, although! light, has played fast school teams from all parts of western Oregon and a town team which can prove its abil ity by a record of its scores, Oregon City Is as well represented in the fall sport as any town twice her size.
