HOP PRICES CO STILL LOWER; SALES FORCED Still lower prices are being named for bops In the orders now coming forward from the east. Present orders generally call for the payment'of 94c as the extreme limit to growers for primes, which means practically 10c a pound f. o. b. Even choice goods are said to be ranging no higher than a fraction better than 10c. Late last week sales of this quality were made as high as 12c a pound, but since then brewers have beaten down the price from lc to 2c a pound. Quite fair sales of hops ore reported at the lower prices, growers seemingly being anxious to sell despite the fur ther reduction In values. Klaber, Wolf & Netter purchased the Crissel lot of 300 bales of primes In the Aurora section at 10c, but aside from this lot sales in that section for similar qual ity are reported at 9 to Stye. The Nelson lot of about 100 bales was reported sold In the Newberg ac tion at 9Hc. although some dealers re port the transaction a fraction below this.
