Boesbe. who have spent a year and a half at Newport, have returned to Jennings Lodge. A telegram conveyed the sad news of the passing away of Mrs. Phelps, of Phelps. Michigan. Mrs. rhelpa was a sister of W. A. Mack, who camped at Inphlot on tho banks of the Wil lamette at this place last summer. Mrs. Phelps spent the entire summer here and made many friends by her acta of kindness and charity. Mr. and Mra. Wm. Cook entertained Messrs. and Mesdnmes Losing.
