Canby Saw Mill Men Buy Timber Tract Near This City. J. A. Kilmer, of Canby, accompanied by O. Olson, of the anme place, were In Oregon City on business Wednes day. Mr. Kilmer, who la one of the partners of the Kllmer-Klnzel sawmill company, haa closed the deal for the purchnso of r 320-ncre piece of land on which are 15,000,000 feet of fine timber. This land belonged to wu Ham Harih. and la located about four miles from thla city on the Abernethy road. Two charges of dynamite, placed In differ ent parts of the new $1,000,000 court house, exploded here this morning. The damage to the building was slight, though nearby structures were shaken by the explosion. Bloodhounds are being used In an effort to trace the dynamiters, who are known to have sought the Injury of Caldwell & Drake of Columbus, Ind., who are the con tractors on the building. COLUMBUS. Ind., March 24. The offices of Caldwell & Drake, contract ors, were wrecked by dynamite here today simultaneously with the dyna miting of tho Omaha court house. No arrests have yet been made. The section of country around this city wns hit with a cyclone today and much damace done. Buildings were demolished, houses unroofed, and part of the railway system put out of com mission. There was much loss of property and some loss of life. The northeast section of the city suffered the greater loss. RUSSIA MAY ATTACK. VLADIVOSTOK. March 24. (Spl.)
