Bill French and family of McKay were in town Saturday on business. A. B. Melton and wife of Lone Pine were in the city on business Satur day. John Hopper of the Powell Butt-s country was in the city on business Saturday. Harry Neal from his ranch on McKay was in Prineville last week on business. Mr. Cole of the Underwood Type writer Co., was in town on business lest week. D. H. Graham, a lawyer of Port land was in the city on business last Thursday. A. H. Parkey, a prominent rancher from Madras was In town on busi ness Friday. Neva Weigand and Mrs. Jack Wei gand from Lamonta were In Prine ville Saturday. T. A. Black, E. T. Moon and Carol Uansfeldt motored to Bend Sunday with Charles McClure. A. Zeveley has taken up the du ties as agent at the Prineville Junc tion beginning this week. A temporary bridge has been built over the Mill Race while the large bridge is being constructed. Mrs. Lakin and children left last week for Cascade Locks where she expects to Visit for some time. Ben A. Bellamy, and his daughter, of Portland, were in Prineville Fri day and Saturday on business. Mrs. Connely left Saturday for the nines where she expects to visit Mrs. Omar Wilson for a short time. Visitors from Roberts this week were, Manford Nye, Eva Noll, Mrs. Taylor, Jim Taylor and Mrs. Carlin. Mrs. Philip Suetter, Mrs. J. Clark, and Mrs. D. Wilson of Portland are guests at the home of Edward J Barrett Jay Upton and Dr. Rosenberg re turned Sunday evening from the Elks convention which was held at Salem last week. Warren Brown returned to Prine ville Suuday from Bend where he hat had charge of Mr. Haner's office for a few days. Mrs. Kane arrived here Sunday from Madras. Mrs. Kane expects to make her home here with her sou, Mi Kluley Kane. Ben Taylor and wife and Mrs. Hamilton left Saturday for Fish Lake for a vacation. They expect to be gone' two weeks. Mrs. Wood of Klamath Falls Is In town visiting her mother, Mrs. Pal n.er. She expects to remain through out the summer. Mrs. Von Birdstone from Mitchell ss in Prineville Wednesday on her way to Portland where she will visit for a short time. C. J. Johnson and fgruily left last Wednesday tor Otto Gray's ranch where they visited a few days. They returned Sunday. Mrs. Millican and sister and Mis Dessel Johnson went to Bend Thurs day to attend the carnival which Is being held In that city. Mrs. Minger, Mrs. Llpman and Alma left Tuesday for Belknap springs in their car. They Intend to stay about two weeks. John Miller of Post was operated on for appendicitis in Portland by Dr. Lee Belknap. He is Improving rap idly from the operation. L. P. Hanna traveling salesman for the Remington Typewriter Co., ot Portland was in Prineville Friday taking orders for his company. Mrs. W. T. Masters arrived here li.st week to visit her mother, Mrs. Bell, who has been 111 for some time. Mrs. Masters lives in Portland. Vine W. Pearce and wife from Madras were in Prineville Friday, visiting their son. Lot. They were guests at the home of W. B. Russell. Lake Bechtell and family and mother, Mrs. Anna Bechtell left Monday for PortlandLand way points in their car. They 'will be gone about two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Belknap and son returned to Prineville Sunday evening from Terrebonne where Mrs. Belknap has been visiting her par ents for the past month. Mrs. Bergh, Vivian Hlnkle and Mrs. Dr., Belknap motored to Bend lust Thursday with Mr. McClure, who is demonstrating the Franklin cars in that part of the country. Miss Anna Draper and niece, Alice McDonald left Tuesday morning for their home in San Francisco. They have been the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Draper for the past week. Richard Reitz left Sunday after noon for Hillsboro, Oregon, for a short visit with friends there. Mr. R!tz has been working in the plumb ing shop for Mr. Minger for some time. He expects to go from Hills hero to California. Dr. J. Harlan Breti, professor of Geology in the University of Chicago is in Prineville for a few days In the interests of the State Geological Survey. While here he is renewing acquaintance with his college class mate. Professor E. E. Evans. Hobart Belknap returned Thurs day evening from Portland where tie Las been for a tew days. He went with Mrs. Ntcoll In their car. Hartlny in the presence ot a small company jf friends ot the bridal couple. Mr Harpham has lived In Prineville tor some time, having had charge ot the Forestry Service here. Mrs. Har pham came to Prineville several years ago from Eugene and has been employed by Stewart and Co., for seme time.
