Lewis famed 104 permits to appropriate water and 4 permit to construct teeorvolrs during the second quarter ( 1917. covering the irrigation ot 4,895 acres of land and the develop ment of 161 horsepower, with an stiniated cost of construction of lf.520. During this period, permits were tamed in Crook, Jefferson and les chutes counties as follows: To James Trapman, W. F. Gal Vaith & Wm. Patterson, of Terre bonne, for the Irrigation of 1.047 acres of land from Crooked River, the construction works estimated to eost $8,000. To Walter T. Morris, of Post, for the irrigation of 130 acres from Crooked River, const suction cost estimated at $1,200. To C. L. Gist, of Sisters, tor do mestic supply from Squaw Creek. To C. L. Ream, of Post, tor the irritation of 50 acres from Drake Creek and reservoir. To H. L. Corbett. of Portland, for supplementary supply for the irri gation of 440 acres from Crooked River. To A. L. Houghtaling, of Vanora, tor domestic supply and Irrigation f t6 acres from Deschutes River. To Perry A. South, ot Crescent, tor domestic supply and irrigation of 3 acres from Potter Springs. To Fremont Land Co., of Minne apolis, for domestic and manufactur ing from Paulina Creek. To the Sisters Domestic Water Tsers Association, of Sisters, for domestic supply from Squaw Creek. Haying is in full blast. Some of the irrigated crops are good, but the dry land crops are light and of poor quality. J. F. McMillin has gone to Wasco lo work through harvest. Wm. Ledford and family and Miss Addle Miller were Prinevllle visitors Monday. W. J. Wright made a business trip to Prinevllle, Saturday.
