Band Concert In Grcus Tent The bund that is furnishing the music for the fair is proving very strong attraction. Tonight it will give a concert in the circus tent from 7:45 to 9. r E. Ciom, LEADER. After the concert the circus will hold sway for the rest of the even ing. The tent has been moved to the Masonic lot on Main street. LOCAL MENTION Will Ford and wife are over from John Day to see the fair. The Bums-Prineville baseball tornament ended in favor of Prine ville. Mrs. Alex Thomson of Portland is visiting relatives in Prineville this week. Rev. M. A. Prater has returned from the Synod at Oregon. He re ports a good meeting. Mr. and Mrs, Peck of Culver are taking in the fair this week.' Mrs. N. F. Long is home again from a visit to Portland and other points in the Willamette valley. Frank Hackleman and wife of Albany came over Sunday to take in the fair. Mr. Hackleman has a horse in the races. Married at the Presbyterian manse Wednesday afternoon Mr. Fred G. Lyons and Miss Ellen Brobst They left for Spokane to enjoy their honeymoon. They expect to make their home in Idaho. TheO.-W. R. & N. Co. have a booth in the main building at the fair grounds. Free seeds and liter ature exploiting the resources of Oregon are being distributed. George Kuckenbaker and family of Layton. California, arrived last week for an extended visit with the family of F. A. Sands, in the Hat Rock neighborhood. The concert given by the M. W A. Band, assisted by some of Prine ville 's best musical talent, at the M. E. church last Thursday, was a suc cess from every standpoint. Each number was rendered in a creditable manner and each responded to an ' encore. Owing to the inability of Mr. Ashley Forrest, of Redmond, to attend as advertised, his number was filled by Warren Glare. C. H.
