PAGE A6, KEIZERTIMES, OCTOBER 7, 2016 police scanner Pouring gas on home lands woman in cuffs Keizer police arrested a Salem woman after respond- ing to a disturbance call in the 1800 block of Jentif Court Northeast Tuesday, Sept. 27. Keizer police were sum- moned to the address about 9 p.m. by a resident who said his ex-girlfriend was outside the home throw- ing rocks and wood at the garage doors and windows. She had also poured gaso- line on the G. Leap exterior of the structure. Responding offi cers smelled gasoline and found a red gas can on the front side- walk when they arrived. The complainant said the incident started when he thought he heard someone kicking his car. He discov- ered the woman was kicking her own car and told her to leave. At that point, the man said his ex-girlfriend appeared to be leaving the area, but pulled back into the driveway and began throwing things at the house so he went outside again. While he was standing in the driveway, the man told police the woman attempted to run him over with her car multiple times. Gail Leap, 40, of Salem, was arrested and taken to the Mar- ion County jail. She is charged with reckless endangering and criminal mischief. The vehicle kept mov- ing through northeast Keizer before crashing through the center median at Lockhaven Drive Northeast and River Road North causing more than $1,000 in damage to a decorative fountain. That’s where the truck was discovered and a search of the area by KPD and SPD of- fi cers found a male and fe- male hiding in a Shoreline Point apart- D. Emery ment.
