Enc kell, the Finnish foreign minister. Sweden's claims to ownership of the Aland Islands date back moro than a century. They belonged to her up to 1809, when (hey were taken by Ilussla and attached to the provlnco of Fin land. Separated from Ilussla as a consequence of war and the Russian revolution, Finland now claims she Is entitled to tho continued ownership of the group.
