Mr. Van Sicklin of the Weiser Loan & Trust Company, was in Ontario Tuesday on business. Mrs. D. C. Fisher arrived from Union Friday evening to see her husband who ia ill at the home of their son Guy Fisher. C. P. Jensma, the hustling manager of the Jensma Creamery Co. at Nampa, was calling on our local business men last week. Bert Routh visited in Ontario thin week. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wilson were married Saturday morning, at the home of Judge Biggs. They left On tario Monday for Cornucopia, their fu ture home. Mr. A. F. Hershal Clore. printer, of the Vale Enterprise, made our sanctum a short visit Monday, on his return from CakMwerc much enjoyed well, where he spent the week-end visiting friends and relatives. Dr. E. E. Maxey of Boise gave a final talk on "What Everyone Should Know About the Ear, Nose and Throat," at the High School Audito rium Tuesday evening. About eighty were present. A white leghorn hen was raffled off and brought three dollars. Ben J. Brown went to Weiser Wed nesday morning to investigate com plaints concerning a case of insanity. He returned at noon with Wm. D. Brown, a man about 70 years of age, who has alrcaih been incarcerated in the Kanaaa insane asylum. Sheriff Brown took his man to Vale Wednea dav evening Zto await action of tliel ci unty judge. I.yte Howard left for Pendleton Sun day evening to make his home. Mr. Howard sold out his business hereafter serving the people of Ontario for eight years. He has been a builder and Insist er and has been identified with the city's growth. He passed his 73rd mile post in life's journey last Sunday, and in all his 38 years in the saloon business he has yet his first drink to take over Ml own bar. Mrs. D. E. Baker and son, Brice, left Wednesday for their future home in Oregon. It will be remembered thut Rev. Mr. Baker, late pastor of the Hap tich church here, recently responded to a call at Ontario, Oregon, and left Jui nary 1 to take up his duties in his ne. pastorate. Mis. Baker was accompan ied as far as Burlington by qui'- I number of her lady friends who weic loath to see her depart and whose best wishes go with her to her new home. Mrs. Baker is a most estimable woman and sne will be greatly missed among the church and temperance workers in this city. Sedio-Woolley Courrier. Those present were Drs. Payne, Weese and Whitney. Mrs. H. C. Drane entertained the Silver Bridge Club Thursday of last week, Mrs. H. C. Whitworth winning the prize.
