NYSSA NEWS NOTES. From the Journal Fire got started on the Hnake river bridge at Nyssa last week, but was discovered before any damage wan done. The silos on the Hunt, Gib son and Sherwood rancues have been completed and are now being filled with the most ap proved bovine dainties. Corn is being used extensively. It is freelv predicted tnat the intro duction of silos here will give an impetus to the already im portant dairy industry. T. M. Lowe, living on the Owyhee, is arranging to pump water onto 100 acres of dry land. The lift is 10 feet. The schools opened last week with an enrollment of 157. Another teacher was added this year.
