Family Discovery Day helps people learn more about how to find out who their ancestors were and gain a deeper appreciation for them. If you know the name of at least one deceased ancestor, you can start a search on familysearch.org. Family Discov- ery Day includes downloads from the 2015 Roots Tech Conference, an annual family history confer- ence held in Salt Lake City. Additional classes by local genealogists will be presented. Each par- ticipant will have the choice of attending live or recorded classed offered concurrently at 10, 11, 12 and 1 o’clock. ADLER HOUSE SEASON CLOSES Saturday, September 26. Adler House Museum, located at 2305 Main Street, is closing for the season after September 26th. Visit the completely restored and renovated 1889 Victorian Italianate home, which was the residence of Leo Adler for 94 years. Adler House Museum will be open this Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. BUSINESS FOUNDATION WORKSHOP Monday, September 28 at Crossroads Carnegie Art Center, 2020 Auburn Ave. from 6 to 9 p.m. Northeast Oregon Economic Development District (NEOEDD) offers a free, six-week workshop series to help entrepreneurs and small-business owners build the basis for a successful enterprise. Hands-on class covers the basics of running a successful busi- ness: overhead and inventory costs, goal-setting and sales projections, marketing, taxes and licensing, and other considerations, and brings it all together in a business plan. Wayne Eugene was born on March 12, 1950 to Ira and Karma (Neilson) Treat. In his youth he lived in Hawaii and Costa Mesa. Later the family moved to Boise, Idaho and then to Costa Mesa, California and where he attended High School. After high school, Wayne went to work in King- man, Arizona to work on a cattle ranch. In 1977 he worked at a vineyard in Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa. In 1993 he moved to Summerville, Oregon and drove for Coca Cola, a chip truck for Boise Cascade then later for Bowman Trucking until retirement. Wayne was a member of the Imbler Lions Club. He enjoyed helping out at the food bank and also attend- ing Bible Study. Wayne is survived by his two sons; Josh and his wife Laura of Imbler, Or- egon; Daniel and his wife Dawn of Summerville; six grandchildren and three nephews. LaDonna Baggerly Baker City, 1949-2015 LaDonna Baggerly, 65, of Baker City, died at her home with her family at LaDonna her side, on Baggerly Monday, September 7, 2015. LaDonna Marie (Page) Baggerly was born on October 5, 1949 in Lewis- ton, Idaho. She was raised in Lewiston and gradu- ated from Lewiston High School in 1967. LaDonna married Gay- lord Baggerly on Septem- ber 20, 1988 in Winnemuc- ca, Nevada. They had 27 very, very happy years together. They met when LaDonna, working for Harold Robins in Spokane, and spent her last $5 to buy Gaylord a steak for his birthday. She also worked for Eagle Transfer and Storage in Lewiston, Idaho and Joe Sicilia, Inc. in Spokane, Washington. In Baker City, LaDonna worked for Mav- erick, D.R. Johnson Baker Reload, and the Salvation Army Youth Center. LaDonna enjoyed taking in and caring for strays, whether they be cats, dogs, or children. She enjoyed being outside to fish, garden, or ride horses. She participated in many rodeo’s in the Lewiston region. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Nancy who died when she was one month old. LaDonna is survived by her husband Gaylord; sons Micheal and wife Rebecca Bryant of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Gregory Bry- ant of Lewiston, Idaho; beloved granddaughters Ana-Elisa Bryant of Hern- don, Virginia and Micheala and husband Thomas Van Clief of Schuyler, Virginia; sisters Debra Howard of Spokane, Washington, Chris Duclos of Spokane, Washington and Cindy Barney of St Maries, Idaho. Diane Teixeira Baker City, 1939-2015 Diane Marie Teixeira, 75, a resident of Baker City, OR, died Saturday, September 12 at Set- tlers Park Assisted Living. Diane was born Oct. Diane 22, 1939. Freda Lee Jones Huntington, Died 2015 Freda Lee Jones, longtime resident of Huntington, Freda Oregon, Jones passed away on September 6, 2015 at her home surrounded by family and friends. Freda was born in Poplar Bluff Missouri. Following school, Freda married Raymond Dale Jones Jr. on October 13, 2002. During Freda’s life she worked as a certified nursing assistant. Freda loved to be able to help others, she also enjoyed being outdoors. She enjoyed history and doing needlepoint. In 1999, Freda and Ray made their home in Huntington. She was preceded in death by her mother Millie Hall. Wayne Ellis Mash Sumpter, 1942-2015 Wayne Ellis Mash, 72, of Sumpter, Oregon died September 18, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family. Wayne was born No- vember 26, 1942 in Boise, Idaho. Wayne was raised by his grandparents and after graduating from high school in 1964, Wayne joined the Army and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. On December 31, 1978 Wayne married Andy Mor- row while in Vancouver, Washington. He became a truck driver and worked for Anodizing Inc. for 17 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed doing car- pentry work for a pass- time and loved to fish and hunt. Wayne is survived by his wife, Andy of Sumpter, Oregon, two sons, David Mash of Bolivar, New York, Kevin Mash of Olympia, Washington a stepson, Larry Jones of Omaha, Nebraska, one grandchild and a sister, Marie Nolting of Cuba, Missouri.
